The Valley

What if the darkest valley you are walking through isn’t proof you’ve lost the path, but the very place the Shepherd plans to meet you?

In Week 1 of our series “The Valley: Real Conversations about Faith and Mental Health,” Pastor Darryl Buckle turns to Psalm 23 to ask what it actually means to follow Jesus when life feels more like the valley than the mountaintop. Together we name anxiety, depression, grief, exhaustion, and burnout, wrestle with the myth that “strong Christians should have it all together,” and explore how Scripture refuses to pretend the valley doesn’t exist. Along the way, we begin to imagine a kind of church where nobody has to hide their pain, where stigma gives way to presence, and where faith sounds less like easy answers and more like honest prayers in the dark.

If you’re tired, quietly struggling, or walking with someone who is, this conversation is for you.
